John Coefield is a rock climbing and outdoor photographer based out of Sheffield, UK. Living close to the Peak District - an area of outstanding beauty, an outdoor mecca and climbing paradise - has shaped John's vision of the world and informed how he makes images of it.

John shoots on film and Canon digital equipment, tailoring the gear to the subject. His work features regularly in the climbing press and he is a frequent contributor to Climber Magazine, Climb Magazine, Summit Magazine and a variety of guidebook publishers, including the British Mountaineering Council. John has also contributed articles and photographs to overseas publications, including the leading Japanese climbing magazine, Rock & Snow.

John is a committed rock climber and mountain biker and is the author of Peak District Climbing, a guidebook to the local area.
